Moodbidri: On Aug 08 2025, Vijayalakshmi, wife of Dharmapala Ballal from Padu Marnadu village, lost her purse containing two bangles and a gold chain total 9 pounds worth around ₹10 lakh in Moodbidri town while returning from her mother’s funeral in Kuppe Padavu. A complaint was filed the same day at Moodbidri Police Station.
Under the leadership of Inspector Sandesh P.G., officers Mohammed Hussain, Mohammed Iqbal, Akhil Ahmad, Nagaraj Lamani, and Venkatesh traced and recovered the lost gold and purse within two days, and handed them over to the rightful owner.
Public has appreciated the police's swift action.
