Mangalore September 10: Dakshina Kannada district is getting enough of oxygen and there is no problem. The public need not be worry about this, said DK Deputy Commissioner, Dr. K.V. Rajendra .

He spoke with medical oxygen providers at his office on Wednesday September 9, at a district-level monitoring committee meeting. 

DC said: "The district administration will provide all necessary support to the oxygen manufacturing plants to ensure continuous supply of oxygen and cylinders to the government and private hospitals in the district. Mescom was instructed to provide uninterrupted power supply to oxygen-producing plants without any interruption." 

"Oxygen units are supplied raw Materials from Palakkad, Kerala and from Bellary Thoranagal, the matter would be discussed in consultation with the Bellary district Deputy Commissioners and forwarded to the district."

Oxygen manufacturing units must be first supplied to the hospitals preferably, then it should be supplied to the industries. He said: " If there is any problem rearding the supply of oxygen to the hospitals it should be brought to his notice.

He said he would take any notice of any problems in the supply of oxygen.

Assistant Drug Controller Ramakant and Entrepreneurs of Oxygen Supply Unit were present at the meeting.
