Dakshina Kannada, May 26: Due to safety and electrification work to be carried out on the Sakleshpur-Subrahmanya road route, the daytime service of six trains between Bangalore-Mangalore and Bangalore-Karwar has been cancelled from June 1 to November 1.

The South Western Railway has informed this and requested the cooperation of passengers. Due to the railway work, 6 trains running between Bangalore - Mangalore and Bangalore - Karwar are being cancelled for the next 5 months. Gommateshwar Express, Karwar Express, Mangalore Central Weekly Special Express will be cancelled for the next 5 months. Out of the 12 trains running from Bangalore to the coastal area, 6 trains are being cancelled completely.

The details of trains cancelled on the Mangalore - Bangalore route are as follows:

1.  Yeshwanthpur - Mangalore Junction Weekly Express (Train No. 16539) running on Saturdays from May 31 to November 1 has been cancelled.

2.  Mangalore Junction-Yeshwanthpur Weekly Express (Train No. 16540) running on Sundays from June 1 to November 2 has been cancelled.

3. Yeshwanthpur-Mangalore Junction Tri-Weekly Express (Train No. 16575) running on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from June 1 to October 30 has been cancelled.

4.  Mangalore-Yeshwanthpur Tri-Weekly Express (Train No. 16576) running on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from June 2 to October 31 has been cancelled.

5. Yeshwantpur-Karwar Tri-Weekly Express (Train No. 16515) running on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from June 2 to October 31 has been cancelled.

6. Karwar-Yeshwantpur Tri-Weekly Express (Train No. 16516) running on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from June 3 to November 1 has been cancelled.

Half-time trains cancelled:

Gommateshwar Express, Karwar Express, Mangalore Central Weekly Special Express will be cancelled for the next 5 months.

Out of the 12 trains running from Bengaluru to the coastal area, 6 trains are being completely cancelled. Due to this, passengers are forced to take alternative routes.
