Mangaluru, May 21: Shakthi Residential School hosted a Teachers’ Development Program on Wednesday, 21 May, to mark the beginning of the new academic year. The 3 day event focused on equipping educators with innovative strategies to enhance classroom teaching and learning.
The program was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp by dignitaries including Sanjeeth Naik (Secretary of Shakthi Education Trust), Ramesh K. (Advisor, Shakthi Education Trust), and Babitha Suraj (Principal, Shakthi Residential School).
Sanjeeth Naik, addressed the gathering and emphasized the need for continuous teacher development in today’s dynamic educational landscape.
The sessions were facilitated by Loknath V. Reddy, a theatre practitioner and music educator, and Deepthi N. T, a creative drama facilitator and former mathematics professor. Both resource persons brought engaging and arts-integrated approaches to pedagogy, inspiring teachers to explore creative and learner-centric methods.
The interactive workshops saw enthusiastic participation from over 50 teaching staff from Pre primary, middle and high school sections making the program a meaningful and energizing start to the new academic year.
