Chennai: Eleven Indian fishermen have been released by Sri Lanka. Eleven Indian fishermen who were released from Sri Lankan jails returned to their home country today.
The fishermen were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy in January this year on charges of maritime violations in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu.
They were recently released by a Sri Lankan court. They arrived here by plane from Colombo early this morning and left for their hometowns by road.
