Allipade, Bantwal: St John's Kannada Medium School and St. Antony English Medium School Allipade jointly hosted Taluk Level Yoga competition at the Sauharda Sabhabavan on 28 July, 2024. The morning was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolic some atmosphere. 

Competition was held for under-14 age group. 30 schools from the region participated with great enthusiasm.

The programme began with a welcome dance by St Antony School students followed by prayer song. Headmistress Vinoda welcomed the gathering. 

As Chief guest Shivaprasad Rai, Taluk Inspector of Physical Education, who emphasized the importance of yoga in today's fast-paced world. "If we want a strong country, we need strong youth, and yoga is the key to achieving that strength," Rai said in his address.

Rev. Fr Robert D'Souza the correspondent of the school and the of President of the program wished the contestants success and emphasized the balance between victory and defeat.

The dignitaries present were Sr Narcisa Sequeira the Correspondent of St John English Medium High School, Naveen Moras Vice President, Kiran Noronha  Secretary of the parish council, Purushotham Bangera SDMC President of St. John Kannada Medium school  and Sr Deepa  the Headmistress of  St John high school, Umanatha Rai the President of State Government Employees Association, Chinnappa Zonal Nodal Officer, Sr Lavina veigas Headmistress of St Antony English Medium School, Vinoda Headmistress of St. John Kannada Medium school.

Sowmya proposed vote of thanks, Vanitha and Pratima compered the program. 

Government Higher Primary School, Koila, emerged as the overall champion in both boys and girls categories, with their students winning top prizes in various events.

The program concluded with the singing of the national anthem, and the winners were awarded prizes by the dignitaries present. Valedictory ceremony compered by Vinaya.

The program ended with singing of the National Anthem.
