Mangaluru: Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2025, as part of the state-level educational program organized by the CBSE Board, was held with great enthusiasm today at the Reshma Memorial Auditorium of Shakti Residential School in Shaktinagar, Mangaluru.

Children dressed as tigers welcomed the guests with a lively tiger danceand with a traditional yakshagana performance.

Chief Guest, Yusuf A. Kumble, Chief Managing Director and Cardiologist of Indiana Hospital, inaugurated the festival by lighting the lamp. Speaking on the occasion, he said that he had been very interested in participating in school competition from a very young age.Encouraging the students, he added that they too should actively take part in various competitions and make their own meaningful contributions to society.

He said that Learning is a continuous process.Through this Skill Expo, you can learn about the best aspects of knowledge, education, professional development, skill development and research.

Students can learn a lot from the resource persons at the Guidance Festival. They said that if the marks we earn in school open the doors of our future careers, our skills will keep those doors open.

Dakshina Kannada LokSabha member Capt. Brijesh Chautara participated as the Chief Guest online from Delhi. He addressed about the The National Education Policy – 2020 implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this, regard the CBSE Board has organized the State Level Educational Skill Expo and Guidance Festival-2025 at Shakti Residential School, Mangalore, which is a commendable act.

He wished that this would help in identifying the hidden talent in children.
Satish Pehal, Deputy Secretary, Skill Development, CBSE Board, addressed as the chief guest at this festival. "This Skill Expo will be a great platform for children to showcase their skills.We should leverage this opportunity to learn from experts at this guidence festival and acqire knowledge needed to address the challenges facing our society.

For any science model to be created, it must have its own empathy. We must know the benefit it will bring to the community. Schools and boards will extend support to display student’s science models.

Rahul J. Nair, co-founder of Lifeology, participated in the Guidance Festivaland spoke on the topic ‘Meaningful Career and Personality’.
Renowned mind trainer Tanuja spoke on the topic Mind Matter - Simple Formulas for a Happy and Healthy Brain.

Social worker and renowned entrepreneur U K Yusuf spoke on the topic“Future Ready” - Skilling the next generation to build the future.
Sanjeet Naik, Secretary of Shakti Education Trust spoke and said, "This is a festival Where, children will have the opportunity to share and learn from each other the various skills, cultures and languages of different regions."
In today's modern times, there is a great demand for Artificial Intelligence. All the children, teachers and parents who have come from various parts of the state and the country are welcome to our Shakti Education Institute.
We are happy to be supporting this program of the CBSE Board in our institution. This will be a good opportunity for children to showcase their skills in front of the society.

In this festival, 31 students were selected from more than 80 science models prepared by CBSE board school children from different districts of the state.
The models were displayed and the Guidance Festival was a special event with over 400 students and teachers from various schools participating.
Dr. Sushma V, Professor at Sahyadri College, and K. S. Hegde Institute of Management was present at this festival, Karthik Raj Kudroli, Assistant professor, as a judge, viewed the science models, and judged the models presented by participating schools. Prabhas and Varjas, 10th grade students of Shakti Residential School, interviewed teachers from various schools.
The event was presided over by Dr. K.C. Naik, founder of Shakti Education Trust, followed by other dignitaries Ramesh K,,Advisor of Shakti Education Trust, Venkatesh Murthy H, Principal of Shakti Pre-University College. Babita Suraj, Principal of Shakti Residential School, welcomed the gathering.
Teacher Chethana compered the program and proposal the vote of thanks. Teachers Chethana and Smisha coordinated this event.
