New Delhi, March 19: Four astronauts, including Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, who had been aboard the International Space Station (ISS) for the past nine months, have safely landed on the Florida coast.

The SpaceX Dragon capsule carrying Sunita Williams, Butch Wilmore, Nick Hague, and Alexander Gerst has successfully landed on a beach in Florida. This joint mission by NASA and SpaceX has been a success.

SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket launched from Florida's Kennedy Space Center at 7:03 p.m. last Friday, and the Dragon spacecraft docked with the ISS on Sunday morning. Ann McClain and Nicole Ayers of NASA, Takuyo Onishi of JAXA, and Kirill Peskov of Roscosmos entered the ISS aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft.

On June 5, 2024, astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams had launched for the International Space Station aboard the Boeing Starliner spacecraft. Their mission was initially intended to last 8 days, with a return to Earth afterward. However, the Starliner encountered technical problems, causing the two astronauts to remain in space longer than expected. Despite several attempts to bring them back, previous missions failed. Now, the joint NASA and SpaceX mission has successfully brought the astronauts back to Earth.
