Exodus 13:2... Consecrate every firstborn male to me, the firstborn from every womb among the Israelites, both man and domestic animal, it is mine.

TODAY'S REFLECTION

St Paul noted that all things work together unto good for those who love God (Rom 8:28). If you really love God, then you certainly have nothing to be afraid of because it means that you have all that matters.

To love is to keep all the commandments because God is love (1 Jn 4:16) and all commandments come from God, and so, since God is love, the commandments have love as their foundation (cf  Mt 22:37-40).

So if you want to know God, love; if you want to love God, begin by loving that person beside you.

In the gospel  we see  Simeon, who had lived an upright and devout life.

The Holy Spirit rested on him, and it was revealed to him that he would not see death until he had set eyes on the Christ of the Lord.

And Simeon had his wish fulfilled when Mary and Joseph brought the infant Jesus to the Temple.

Whatever our wishes are in life, may our deepest desire is to be at peace with God and with others as we close our eyes to this world.

Jesus will grant us that when we keep our eyes fixed on Him and live an upright and devout life.

In the Midst of such Sorry, Disappointments and Pain, the Christ is Born.

Revelation 22:12... Behold I am coming soon

Like Simeon are we waiting for the Promise of Revelation to come true ?

RESOLUTION

Let love then guide you in all things and you will experience the transforming presence of God in your life.

HAVE AN AWESOME DAY KNOWING THAT YOU HAVE A GOD WHO FULFILLS ALL YOUR WISHES AND DESIRES.
