Mangalore, Nov 30: Kumble Sundar Rao(88), well known Yakshagana artist passes away today morning, 30 November 2022.
Rao born on 20 March 1934 at Kumble Kerala. His parents were Kayakardi Kunjanna and Kallyani. He has performed at various Mela organised at Surathkal, Dharmasthala and Ira.
Apart from artist, he was elected as MLA of Surathkal constituency and served as MLA from 1994 to 1999.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters.
Family has stated that Sundar Rao body will be kept for public viewing at his house near pumpwell. The last rites will held on Thursday December 01, 2022.
