Under the leadership of Rauf Bandar, who has been actively involved in social service for several years, the Voice of Blood Donors Mangalore and Voice of Trust jointly organized the annual Sowharda Iftar gathering. The event was held at the City Tower premises near Rauf & Rauf Circle.
The Voice of Blood Donors Mangalore has organized blood donation camps in various parts of the district, collecting approximately 13,000 units of blood, which have been provided to those in need. Additionally, the organization has been providing financial assistance for the marriage of underprivileged girls, admitting and supporting treatment for people suffering from serious illnesses, and distributing essential equipment like wheelchairs, walkers, and walking sticks to differently-abled individuals. Through these initiatives, the organization has earned the love and trust of the community.
Recently, the organization’s support fund scanner was launched by Sheikh Muhammad Irfani Faizi from Kalladka. The continuous distribution of wheelchairs to differently-abled people was carried out by Padmaraj R., the General Secretary of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee.
Former mayors Shashidhar Hegde and K. Ashraf, Bandar Police Station Inspector Azmat Ali, writer Hussain Katipalla, President of the Suratkal Block Congress Minority Division Muhammad Sameer, and many others were present as chief guests.
The event was attended by Abdul Rauf Bunder, President of the Voice of Blood Donors Mangalore, Zahid Abbas, President of Voice of Trust, and Nazir among others.
