Daijiworld.com Completes Glorious 25 Years of Digital Media Service

Press Release

Mangalore, February 2026: Daijiworld.com, one of India’s pioneering regional digital media platforms, has completed a glorious 25 years of service, marking a remarkable journey that began in Dubai in 2001 as a passion-driven initiative by Walter Nandalike.

What started as a hobby project dedicated to Konkani language and literature gradually evolved into a powerful multi-language, multi-platform media network, transcending boundaries of language, religion, and region, and serving the global Tulunadu diaspora and beyond.

Daijiworld’s growth has been steady and visionary. The platform established its first office in Mangalore in 2003, became a Private Limited company in 2007, introduced Mangalore’s first Internet TV concept, launched a print magazine in 2009, followed by a regional television channel in 2014, a state-of-the-art audio-visual studio in 2015, and an online radio platform in 2017.

Beyond news dissemination, Daijiworld has emerged as a responsible and socially committed media house, touching countless lives through impactful public-service initiatives.

“Carrying news was never our only motive. As a responsible media platform, we believed in using digital technology to directly serve society,” says Walter Nandalike.

One of Daijiworld’s most notable achievements is its donor-to-beneficiary charity model, through which an estimated ₹35 crore has been generated for the needy via appeals published on Daijiworld.com. More than 1,500 families have benefited from this transparent initiative, which continues to this day.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire Daijiworld Media Group reached out to over 6,000 families, providing food, medicines, and financial assistance with the support of generous donors.

Currently, Daijiworld’s flagship health awareness campaign “Cancer Gellona”, launched in collaboration with Mangalore Institute of Oncology, is creating a significant impact among cancer patients, their families, and caregivers. The initiative has not only contributed to saving lives but has also helped build a positive mental attitude among those affected.

Today, Daijiworld.com records over 2 million unique visitors worldwide, reinforcing its position as a trusted global digital media platform for people from coastal Karnataka and across the world.

“We are planning several innovative initiatives in the coming days, supported by advanced technology, to further strengthen our service to society,” Nandalike added.

The Silver Jubilee celebrations will be held on February 14 in Mangalore. Dr Ronald Colaco, who inaugurated the Daijiworld website at a function in Dubai in 2001, will grace the occasion as a distinguished guest.

Other eminent dignitaries include Dr Prakash Shetty of Gold Finch Group, Dr Yenepoya, Chancellor of Yenepoya University, Mr Ronald Pinto, Managing Director of Hyssna International, Abu Dhabi, and Dr Rohan Monteiro of Rohan Properties.

The event will also feature Hyssna Miss Daijiworld, supported by Hyssna International, Abu Dhabi, as a special attraction.

The Silver Jubilee celebrations promise to be a moment of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to responsible journalism and social service.
