Panaji: Goa Police has decided to take strict action against domestic tourists who harass foreign nationals on beaches in the state of Goa.

If they are found forcibly taking selfies with foreigners on beaches without their consent or forcing them to take photos, they will be arrested on the spot, a senior officer said on Friday.
The action has been taken after several cases came to light, including domestic tourists clicking pictures of foreign women and forcing them to take selfies on beaches, an official said.
The Calangute police in North Goa have recently registered a case against two tourists from Odisha for allegedly harassing a Russian woman on a beach.
According to the police, the incident took place on Calangute beach earlier this week, when the accused, Akash Minaj (19) and Dhyan Tappo (34), forcibly clicked photos with the foreign tourists and touched them inappropriately.
A senior official said that if domestic tourists are found clicking photographs of foreign women without their consent or forcibly taking selfies with them, they will be arrested on the spot.
