Bengaluru: Murali Krishna, son of veteran singer S Janaki, who has sung thousands of songs in many Indian languages including Kannada, has passed away. Murali Krishna was 65 years old. Murali Krishna was S Janaki’s only son. He passed away today (January 22) due to a heart attack. Several film celebrities have expressed their condolences on social media and expressed concern about Janaki’s condition.
While S Janaki was a famous singer, Murali Krishna was a wonderful Bharatanatyam dancer. A Bharatanatyam expert, he gave many shows. He also did Bharatanatyam choreography for some films. Murali Krishna, who was married to Uma, who was a Bharatanatyam and Kuchupudi expert, had two daughters. But Uma and Murali Krishna got divorced and moved away.
Murali Krishna is said to have lived in Mysore for some time. At that time, S Janaki was also in Mysore. But now, as per the news circulating, Murali Krishna breathed his last due to a heart attack at his mother’s house in Hyderabad. Several singers and celebrities from the music industry have expressed their condolences over Murali Krishna’s sudden demise and are praying that Janaki will be given the strength to bear the pain.
S Janaki is now 87 years old and is in pain after losing her only son at this age. Details of Murali Krishna’s last darshan and funeral are yet to be released.
