Iran’s top security official threatens Donald Trump

Tehran: A senior Iranian security official has warned US President Donald Trump in a message posted online.

After Trump warned that the US would attack Iran “twenty times stronger” if Tehran tried to block oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, shared a statement today.

Responding to Trump’s post, Larijani wrote that the Iranian people are not afraid of empty threats. Even opponents stronger than you have not been able to destroy Iran. He warned Trump to focus on saving his own life.

The US had previously accused Iran of plotting to assassinate Trump.
