Mangalore Management Association, affiliated to All India Management Association, New Delhi in association with SDM PG Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangaluru observed National Management Day on 28th February 2026 in SDM PG Centre Conference Hall by conducting a workshop to teachers, Students of PG and UG students of Government First Grade colleges of Dakshina Kannada district.
Programme commenced with prayer by Amrutha, SDM Student. After lighting the Lamp, President of MMA Edward J Coelho welcomed the gathering and briefed about the relevance of celebrating National Management Day. Dr. Molly Chaudhari, GB Member(MMA), Introduced the Chief Guest Prof. CA Lionel Aranha and Dr. Prameela Shetty, past Secretary(MMA), introduced the resource person Dr. Savitha Pereira.
Prof.CA Lionel Aranha, Chartered Accountant, Adjunct Faculty at IIM Kozhikode, Arbitrator, Mangalore inaugurated the programme and gave some relevant insights of prominence of Management education in this era through few real life examples. Dr. Savitha Periera, Assistant Professor, SDM PG Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangalore was the resource person who addressed students on the concept of self-esteem and conducted treasure hunt event to keep students engaged actively. MMA Vice President Krishna Shetty, Director of SDM PG Centre Dr. Seema S. Shenoy, office bearers, governing body members and other members of MMA were present during the occasion. In the event MMA honoured immediate Past President Jairaj B. Rai and felicitated Rajyotsava awardee for literature(DK), Sachidananda Shetty, the Joint Secretary.
Teachers and students from various UG and PG institutes participated in the programme. Around 105 students registered for the programme and actively participated in the events organized. MMA-Secretary Dr. Ramya Shetty proposed the vote of thanks, Dr Harshitha K, Assistant Professor, SDM PG Centre compered the programme.
