Kozhikode, January 19: The obsession to go viral has become increasingly common among young people in recent times. This obsession has claimed the life of a man in Kerala.
A woman had recorded a video of a man sexually harassing her while she was travelling in a local bus and shared it on social media.
This man, Deepak U, is a resident of Govindapuram in Kozhikode. When his parents tried to wake him up around 7 am, he was found hanging in his room. He did not respond to several knocks and calls.
It is understood that the man committed suicide when his parents opened the door with the help of a neighbor. It is being said that Manan committed suicide after the video went viral on social media.
The video went viral a few days ago. The woman had alleged that he had touched her inappropriately several times while she was travelling in a crowded bus from Payyannur railway station to the bus stand.
The video went viral and the man was severely abused. It is said that he was under mental stress due to this.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that the woman herself went up to the man, touched him while the bus was moving and recorded a video of it, and some videos of this are circulating on social media.
The man’s family has also accused their son of being innocent. He did this to go viral.
Now, criticism is also being levelled against the woman. The police have registered a case of unnatural death in connection with the case, and the truth needs to come out from the investigation.
