Mangaluru: Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management Students Athletic Team clinched the Overall Championship for the 9th time, amassing an impressive 140 points at the VTU 27th Inter-Collegiate State-Level Athletic Championship held at KIT, Tiptur, from 26th to 29th March 2026.
Pranay J. Shetty was honored as the Best Athlete in the Men’s section & Pallavi J S was honored as the Best Athlete in the Women’s section for outstanding performance.
The team also dominated both categories, securing the Men’s Section Championship with 57 points and the Women’s Section Championship with 73 points. Adding to their achievements, Sahyadri secured second place in the March Past event.
The championship was highly competitive and prestigious, featuring participation from 2,232 athletes representing 137 colleges.
