Mangalore: St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, concluded its day-long cultural extravaganza, Milan 2026, with a magnificent evening program on April 10, 2026, marking a grand finale to a day of creativity and diversity.


















The evening festivities commenced with a grand procession, setting a festive tone for the high-energy events that followed. The stage came alive with a variety of performances, including a Solo Classical Dance by Namratha Jain, a Thematic Dance by Ashton D’Mello & Team, and an elegant Mohiniattam performance by Greeshma & Team. Musical talents were also on full display with group singing by Team Euphonia and a duet by Ananya & Team.
During the formal stage program, Principal, Dr. Rio D’Souza reflected on the institution’s 25-year journey, noting that the cultural expressions seen throughout the day inspire energy, creativity, and strong human values.
Chief guest, Walter Nandalike, Founding&Managing Director, Daijiworld Media,delivered a powerful motivational address, urging students to stay focused on their personal goals rather than comparing themselves to others. Quoting Jack Ma, he encouraged perseverance through challenges, stating, “today is difficult, tomorrow is more difficult, but the day after tomorrow is beautiful”.
Another Chief guest, Ln. Kishore D. Shetty, Producer – Lakumi Cine creations, lauded the college for providing a platform that nurtures confidence and overall development in students. The energy reached its peak with a Kashmiri Dance by Toxic Beats and a Fusion Dance by the College Dance Team.The night concluded on a high note with a thunderous Chende Fusion and an electrifying DJ session by Team Bassphase, which saw enthusiastic participation from the students.
The event also featured a prize distribution ceremony for the various events held on 09 & 10 April 2026 in the campus. The evening program was graced by Director, Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza and Assistant Director, Rev. Fr. Kenneth Ryner Crasta along with the faculty convenors, Dr Prathima S and Chitharanjan M. The student convenors, Pratheek Moras and Renika Yathish were also present on the occasion along with Deans, HOD’s and staffs of the institution.
Milan 2026 successfully reinforced the institution’s commitment to holistic development, providing a dynamic platform for students to celebrate cultural heritage and showcase their immense talent.
