Student arrested for making and circulating video of sex with Kodagu girls

Madikeri, Jan 30: A 21-year-old college student has been arrested on charges of making and circulating a video of sex with a college student from Kodagu on social media platforms, the police said on Thursday.

The arrested accused has been identified as Mohammad Sawad, a resident of Kodagu district, who is pursuing BBA in a college in Bengaluru.

The case came to light on January 21 after a resident of Napoklu received the alleged video clips on the WhatsApp number of Kodagu Development Committee President M.S. Prasanna Bhat, the police said.

Prasanna Bhat had filed a complaint with the police alleging that obscene photos and videos featuring the youth and two women were being circulated on social media platforms.

The Madikeri Rural Police, who registered a case and started an investigation, have arrested the accused Mohammed Sawad.

According to the complainant, the video clip shows the accused youth engaging in sexual intercourse with two different young women on different occasions.

It is said that the accused Mohammed, despite being in Bengaluru, had maintained contact with college students from Kodagu, and had developed friendships with them and captured their private moments on his mobile phone.

Sawad’s mobile phone was accidentally found by his friends. It is said that they leaked this video on social media.
