Pune, Mar. 02: Jay Pawar, son of late Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, has shared a video of VSR Ventures owner Rohit Singh sleeping in the main pilot seat during a flight on social media. He has demanded his immediate arrest.
He has demanded that all VSR Ventures flights be grounded until the investigation into his father’s plane crash is completed.
On January 28, Ajit Pawar and four others died in a crash in Baramati, Pune district, while travelling in a Learjet 45 aircraft of VSR Ventures.
Jay Pawar, who shared the clip on social media, said, “We have lost our father. This pain will be with us forever. In this video, VSR owner Rohit Singh is seen sleeping in the main pilot seat during a flight. Such negligence during flight is not acceptable. It is very serious and shocking, he said.
He demanded that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) should take strict action immediately. All VSR flights should be grounded till a thorough investigation is completed and Rohit Singh should be arrested without delay and strict legal action should be taken. He said that this is a painful plea for the safety of my father and every passenger.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has released its preliminary report on the plane crash, which said that visibility was below the required level at the time of the accident.
