Panambur  The 41st All India Major Ports Table Tennis Tournament 2018-19 was held at NMPT Gymkhana Premises, Panambur from 5th March 2019 to 7th March 2019, conducted by the Major Ports Sport Control Board and New Mangalore Port Sports Council. Teams from 6 major ports of India participated in the tournament.  

Mumbai Port Trust won the team Championship, Deendayal Port won the 2nd place and 3rd place was won by Kolkata Port in this category.  In the men’s singles category Pankaj Kadoo of Mumbai Port Trust was the winner and Shri GVS Rama Rao was the runner up. The men’s double event was won by Mumbai Port Trust and Deendayal Port Trust was the runners up. 

In the 45+ category, Shri GVS Rama Rao from Vishakhapatnam Port Trust was the winner and Mahesh Hingorani from Deendayal Port Trust was runners up. Team from Vishakhapatnam Port Trust were the winners in the 45+ doubles category and the team from Deendayal Port Trust were the runners up. 

 The valedictory function was held on the 7th of March and the prizes were distributed by Shri Srikrishna Karuthuri, ITS, Chief Vigilance Officer NMPT. Capt. S.R. Pattanayak, Dy. Conservator (NMPT) & President of the NMPT sports council presided over the function. Aleshappa, Secretary of NMPT sports council proposed the vote of thanks.
