Vijayapura, Sep. 17: A big robbery has taken place in another bank in the state. Robbers who broke into the SBI Bank in Chadachana in Vijayapura tied up the bank manager, cashier and staff and looted a huge amount of cash and gold ornaments before fleeing.
The robbers, who came wearing masks, threatened the bank officials and staff with pistols and deadly weapons, tied them up and carried out the robbery. SP Lakshman Nimbargi and officials visited the spot and inspected it. It is suspected that 8 crores in cash and 50 crores in gold ornaments were robbed from the bank.
