Udupi, January 22 : In the current year, the skill development training program in the tourism/hospitality sector is being implemented by the state and central government hospitality sector institutions Food Craft Institute, Mysore and Institute of Hotel Management, Bangalore.

Applications have already been invited from candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes between the ages of 20 and 45 across the state for Food and Beverage Service Steward Training, Room Attendant Training, Front Office Associate Training and Multi-cuisine Cook Training programs.

In light of the low number of applications for the ongoing multi-cuisine cook training programs and the growing job opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, and self-employment for those who complete the training, the last date for candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes to re-apply for the multi-cuisine cook training in the district is January 24.
