Bangalore: Don Bosco Church Lingarajapuram in association with the Commission for Differently Abled Persons of the Archdiocese of Bangalore, Good Sam Foundation, Lions Club International Pyramid, Birds Paradise, Maruthi Sevanagar, Kumara park, Bhartiya Seva Charitable Trust, LCB Phoenix and Godson Memorial is hosted a day that is 29th February, 2020 as the “Differently Abled Day.” The aim is to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of , Spiritual, political, social, economic and cultural life.
Itheme of the day was we care so we share by including everyone leaving no one behind
The day was focused on the empowerment of persons with disabilities for inclusive, equitable and sustainable development which pledges to ‘leave no one behind.’
Through this programme we would like to say to them that we are there to care for them, share the little we have with them related to education, growth and employment, supplying wheel chairs, artificial limbs, providing them with pension available with the government, job placement for the blind, providing hearing aid to the deaf and telling them that they are part of our family and we love and care for them and through this program we would like to assure them that we are ere for them in all circumstances.
The Archbishop of Bangalore Most Rev, Peter Machado graced the occasion in the evening for a concluding Message.
