Bengaluru, Dec 17: There are only a few days left for the arrival of the new calendar year 2026. Major cities including Bengaluru are gearing up to welcome the new year. The Greater Bengaluru Authority, Police Department, and Fire Department are taking steps to ensure proper monitoring.

In order to ensure security and safety, the Bengaluru Police Department and the National Restaurant Association of India have issued some guidelines to pubs, bars, and clubs in Bengaluru to prevent any mishaps or accidents during the New Year celebrations.

Information of celebrities and guest artists arriving for the New Year should be informed to the police department in advance


Security for women on MG Road, Church Street

For the protection of women and control of unpleasant incidents, the Brigade Road organization has said that basement shops, ground floor shops and underpasses on three roads including Brigade Road, Church Street and MG Road will be closed on the day of New Year celebrations. This action has been taken after the safety of women could be compromised due to parties and fun on the ground floor.
