Bondel, Mangaluru: The St Lawrence Shrine, Bondel, witnessed a special visit by U.T. Khader, Hon’ble Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He was warmly welcomed by Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, Parish Priest and Shrine Rector, with a flower bouquet.
As part of the visit, U.T. Khader lit candles before St Lawrence and sought his blessings. He was later felicitated with a shawl and memento as a token of respect and gratitude.
In his brief address, Khader extended his heartfelt wishes for the upcoming Feast of St. Lawrence, conveying warm greetings in advance to all parishioners and devotees.
Also present on the occasion were Prakash Pinto Present Convenor of the Shrine, Rudy Pinto, former Shrine Convenor; Stany Alvares, President of Karnataka Sahitya Academy; Melwine D'Souza former member D k zilla parishad PPC members; and parishioners who gathered to witness the event.
The visit marked a moment of fellowship and goodwill, further enhancing the spirit of the feast celebrations at the Shrine.
