Udupi: When donors provide an opportunity to help the needy students, you can respond by establishing a transparent, impactful and well-managed higher studies. A thoughtful approach under the leadership of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, the students should take advantage to build their strong career, said  Very Rev Monsignor Ferdinand Gonsalves, Vicar General of Udupi diocese and Spiritual Director of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh.

He was speaking during the Scholarship distribution ceremony organized under the leadership of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh along in association with Late Theresa Cornelio Family Kemmannu, MCC Bank and CAP Cell Kallianpur deanery held at Anugraha Pastoral Centre, Kakkunje, said that the donating person’s hand is always in good smell. It could be anything as long as a good heart is shown for the community, something great. He called the students to make use of the opportunity provided by donors and build up your future. Do not stop studying. To build your future, you must remain dedicated to your studies. This commitment provides the foundation for personal growth, career advancement and achieving your long term goals.

The programme began with invocation prayer. Ronald D’Almeida, President of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh presided over the programme. Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank was the chief guest. Veronica Cornelio and Ligory D’Souza, family members of Late Theresa Cornelio Family Kemmannu, Joel D’Almeida Secretary and Urban Lewis Treasurer of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, Dr. Gerald Pinto Convener of the programme, Walter Cyril Pinto of CAP Cell, Kallianpur Deanery, Santhosh Cornelio Immediate Past President and Valerian Fernandes, former President of Catholic Sabha were present on the dais.

Anil Lobo in his introduction address said that there is no question of impossible, if there is vision, everything is possible. He pointed to his career, how he successfully built it. In school, he was not so brilliant; however, he built his career with vision and hard work. Everyone should see what is possible and carry the way with courage and will- power. He said think positively and build your strong life.  He asked the scholarship winners to take their parents as a role model and succeed in life.

Veronica Cornelio in her address appreciated the Catholic Sabha for organizing the scholarship distributing programme in order to encourage the students to study and help for our community. The students as well as the parents take use of help and guidance provided by the donors.

Ronald D’Almeida was placed on the donors list during his presiding address and said that there was a huge list of aspirants to get the scholarship, however, it has been given an opportunity to distribute 87 aspirants this year. He thanked the convener of the programme Dr. Gerald Pinto for organizing the programme with a lot of labor and systematic way. He called the students to enroll the membership in Catholic Sabha in respective parish units.

Dr Gerald Pinto read out the names of the students accordingly and scholarships were distributed by the guests on the dais, Catholic Sabha officials with certificates and cash envelopes. He asked the students to give the whatsapp numbers, so that Catholic Sabha will provide information on the facilities provided by the Minority Development Authority and others. Walter Cyril Pinto read out the names of CAP CELL scholarships from CAP Cell.
