Mangaluru: The Digital Security Awareness Webinar on “Cyber Security, Cyber Crimes and Data Protection” has been organized by the Department of BCA, University Evening College in association with Cyber Sapiens United on 24th June.
Smt. Bharathi Sanjay Prabhu, was the chief guest of the Programme and she spoke about the need of Passwords, PINs, OTPs, debit cards and Credit Card precautions in the day to day use of digital tools.
Robinson Vincent D’souza was the resource person on the webinar theme. He has elaborated on the rationale why the Governments bans the entry of foreign Apps, the privacy issues of an individual as well as a nation, passwords with OTPs, PINs, Security authentication steps, website cookies, bullying, social engineering, pornographs, rapes and financial loots through facebook and insta media. He suggested for multiple mail and drives for different purposes, erasing the brousing history, URL verification and locking strategies while during his interaction session with the students.
Dr. subhashinisrivatsa, Principal of the college while in her presidential remarks advised to differentiate between private and public data and the need to spend our time on the continuous security prescriptions before responding hastily to the fascinating offers on social media.
