Mangalore:- As per the district health bulletin, a total of 9,43,109 samples have been tested so far, out of which 8,55,759 have turned out to be negative. The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 87,350, out of which 6,931 are currently active. As many as 665 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 79,395. The district recorded 15 deaths due to coronavirus on Friday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,024.
Udupi:- As per the district health bulletin, as many as 2,81,542 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus. As many as 188 new cases were reported on Friday, taking the total number of cases to 41,405, out of which 2,167 are currently active. A total of 330 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 39,059 for the second wave. The second wave of coronavirus has claimed 179 lives in the district, including three on Friday.
