Dakshina Kannada on Sunday July 26 recorded another steep spike in corona virus cases, with as many as 199 new cases and eight deaths reported in the district. Meanwhile, Udupi also reported a spike with 170 new cases.
Manglore:- As per the district health bulletin,4,811 are positive till date. Out of these, 2,471 cases are currently active. As many as 2,217 persons have recovered and been discharged, and 123 deaths have occured so far, including eight on Sunday.
Among the 199 new cases are 31 primary contacts, 73 with influenza-like illness (ILI), and 10 with severe acute respiratory illness (SARI). As many as 83 cases are under investigation. Two of the patients have international travel history.As many as 90 patients were discharged on Sunday from various hospitals.
Udupi:- As per the health bulletin released by the Udupi district administration, As many as 3,388 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 170 on Sunday. As many as 2,133 patients have been discharged so far, and 1,241 cases are currently active. As per the district bulletin, 14 deaths have occured so far. Among the new cases, 86 are in Udupi, 31 in Kundapur, and 52 in Karkala. They include 106 male and 63 women.As many as 125 people were discharged on Sunday.
