Udupi: on Sunday July 26th there was slight decline in Covid cases with recording of 169 cases. 182 cases were recorded on Saturday.
According to officials, the total case in the district was 3,387, while 1,241 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals and home isolation.
2,133 infected have recovered and discharged from hospital so far. 34 persons with the symptoms of severe acute respiratory infection, influenza like illness and covid suspects have been admitted to isolation wards in district. The new cases were enrolled by 86 are in Udupi, 31 from Kundapura and 52 from Karkala. 125 persons have been discharged .626 were infected persons are in home isolation and undergoing treatment in the district, said officials.

Dakshina Kannada: on Sunday July 26, 2020 covid death cases was unabated with district administration reporting eight more Fatalities .123 deaths have increased.
The first death was reported in the district on April 19, when a Woman from Bantwal succumbed to the Virus. The district has been recording death daily since July 1.
According to officials, it is the late arrival to the hospitals for treatment and co morbid conditions in the patients that is responsible for deaths in the district.
DK DC Sindhu B Roopesh said a 71 year old man from Mangalore with symptoms of ARDS / multi-organ dysfunction chronic renal disease, diabetes and hypertension, failed to respond to treatment at a private hospital and died on July 23. His throat swab tested positive for Covid 19.
