Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has started a new direct Fly Bus service from Kempegowda International Airport to Davangere.
Also, the facility of providing free snacks (snacks kit) of Nandini products to passengers traveling in the Fly Bus has also been launched.
Speaking after flagging off the bus, Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy said that for the first time during his first term as Transport Minister, the direct Fly Bus transport system from Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru to Mysore was started from August 2013. Later, the Fly Bus service was extended to Madikeri and Kundapur.
Today, a direct Fly Bus service has been started between Bengaluru and Davangere. The Government of India has recently awarded the Excellence Award for the Voice of Mysore City initiative. He said that in order to make the transport system more people-friendly, snack kits will be provided free of cost in the flybuses from now on.
Two buses have been provided between Davangere-Airport, and they will ply from the airport on the Doddaballapur Bypass-Dabaspet-Tumkur Bypass-Chitradurga route. Drop points have been provided at Tumkur and Chitradurga Bypasses. The fare between Davangere-Airport is Rs. 1250.
This bus, which will depart from the airport at 12.45 am every day, will reach Davangere at 5.45 am. The bus leaving at 10 am will reach Davangere at 3 pm. The bus leaving from Davangere at 8 am will reach the airport at 1 pm. The bus leaving at 5 pm will reach the airport at 10 pm.
The Nandini products kit will contain a water bottle, milk, cookies, cake, and a kodubale packet. The KSRTC said that the back of the kit has information about the locations where the corporation's prestigious services operate across South India and allows ticket booking.
KSRTC Managing Director Akram Pasha, Directors Dr. K Nandini Devi, Ibrahim Maigur, Airport Chief Commercial Officer Kenneth, Vice President Pravat, Manager Sanjay Chandra, Commercial, KMF's Swathi Reddy and others participated in the program.
