Delivering a lecture on the occasion on ‘Drug Free Day’ organised by NSS, PG Department of History and Archaeology and PG Department of Hindion the occasion of Mahanta Shivayogi's birth anniversary at Dr. Shivarama Karantha Sabhabhavana here on Thursday, she said, a person consumes drugs for various reasons. Before realizing it, he becomes its slave. A drug addict is ready to go for any extent for momentary pleasure. He will not only destroy himself but also become a danger to the society.”
Principal Dr. Anasuya Rai, in her presidential speech, said that PG students have a responsibility to create awareness about the dangers of drugs. PG Department of Hindi Coordinator Dr. Nagarathna N Rao welcomed the guests. Coordinator of PG Department of History and Archaeology Dr. Meenakshi M. M extended vote of thanks.
