The Department of Management Studies at JNN College of Engineering College, Shivamogga organised the installation program for the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) Student Chapter in the campus on the 26th of July, 2024. An Industry Conclave on “Redefining Frontiers of Competencies for Future Corporate Professionals” to mark this endeavour of the Department.
The event aimed to formally establish the JNNCE-MBA NIPM Student Chapter at the institution and to induct the student members. The program was followed by Industry Conclave-2024 featuring a distinguished array of Industry delegates, faculty members, and students in attendance in Panel Discussions.
The program commenced with an invocation by Varsha D Bhatfollowed by the lighting of the lamp, as a mark of formal inauguration. Dr V Vikram welcomed all the distinguished guests and members of the audience. Dr C Srikanth, Director, while delivering the preamble highlighted the significance of Industry-Institute Connect and deliberated on the proposed activities of JNNCE-MBA NIPM Student Chapter.
Steevan Pinto, The Chairman, NIPM -Mangalurudelivered an informative address focusing on the opportunities available to be harnessed by the student community. His insights regarding Professional Excellence appealed the audience.
This was followed by a formal Installation ceremony.
Dr Y Vijaya Kumar, Principal, JNNCE delivered the presidential remark on the occasion explaining the importance of the initiatives. He complimented the Department and urged the students to be abreast in gaining the competencies to be Industry-ready future professionals. Thanked NIPM, Mangaluru leadership team for joining hands with focus on Academia – Industry Connect.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Subhadra P S, the convener of the newly hosted JNNCE-MBA NIPM Student Chapter expressing gratitude to all the guests, faculty members, students, and organizers whose contributions were instrumental in making the program a memorable and impactful one.
Divya S P, was the master of ceremony for the event. Santhosh K, Additional Secretary of NIPM Mangaluru, the faculty members of the department were present on the occasion.
The Inaugural event was followed by two panel discussions deliberated byMs.JovinaPriyankaMadtha, Global Head Leader / HR Strategist, Dr.Ronald Sequeira, Executive Director, VRA Solutions, Mangaluru and Avinand, HR Manager, Mangalore Chemical and Fertilizers (MCFL), CA Sharath, Chartered Accountant, A Narasimha Murthy & Co, Shivamogga and CA Narendra K V, Chartered Accountant.
All the MBA students of the Institute were actively participated in the Conclave.
