Jayananda Anchan elected as Mayor, Purnima as Deputy of MCC

Mangalore, September 09:- Jayananda Anchan has been elected as the new mayor of Mangalore City Corporation and Purnima as the deputy mayor.

On Friday, September 9, the 23rd term election was held at the Mangalore hall of the Mangalore City Corporation.

Dr. GC Prakash, Regional Commissioner of Mysore Division as Election Officer announced the names of the new mayor and deputy mayor after completing the election process.

MLAs Bharat Shetty, Vedavyas Kamath, corporators of Mahanagara Palika participated in the election.

62 members of the 65-member Mangalore City Corporation participated in the election.

Mangalore City Corporation Commissioner Akshay Sridhar and other election process officials participated in this event.
