Kochi:  Konkani Kendr - Gosripur, Konkani Bhasha Prachar Sabha and Susheela Trivikrama Bhat family jointly organized Konkani Day event on Sunday evening 25.12.2022 at Konkani Bhasha Bhavan at Cheralai, Kochi.

The 48th "Shubhakrit Pausha Konkani Kavi Sangam" took place from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm.  Dr. K. Anant Bhat, President of Konkani Kendr - Gosripur and Konkani Bhasha Prachar Sabha, presided over the Poets Conference.  Secretary of Konkani Kendr - Gosripur  M. Lexman Kilikar welcomed the poet's gathering. (Sarva Shri/Smt.) RS Bhaskar, Sudheesh S. Shenoy, N.  Balakrishna Mallya, K.N Ramesh Bhat, V Lakshmana Pai, Govind S. Nayak, Suresh V. Shenoy, Dhanya G.  Mallia, N.  Sadanand Kammath, G.  Mohan Rao, Vijay Kumar N.  Pai, R. Ramanand Prabhu, K. Anant Bhat, Gosripuram Harikumar, P.  Krishnakumar Kamath presented their poems.

From 5.00 pm: The first " Susheela Trivikrama Bhat Memorial Award" distribution ceremony was held. Ku. Rishika V. Prabhu started the ceremony with a prayer. Secretary of Konkani Kendr - Gosripur  M. Lexman Kilikar delivered the welcome address.

Konkani writer and member of Konkani Kendr - Gosripur  N. Balakrishna Mallya shared a memoir about Susheela Trivikrama Bhat.

Veteran poet & President of Konkani Kendr - Gosripur and Konkani Bhasha Prachar Sabha Dr. K. Anant Bhat presided over the function. Chairman of Sukritindra Oriental Research Institute Dr. V. Nityananda Bhat inaugurated the function. Eminent Poet and former Chairman of Akhila Bharatiya Konkani Sahitya Sammelan Shri. R.S Bhaskar was the special guest.

Awards were distributed to the winners at the ceremony. Konkani Literature Award was honoured to  R.S.  Bhaskar, Konkani Seva Award to Namrata P.  Kini,  Konkani Story Writing Award to Vasanthakumari P.S and Konkani Poetry Award to Vijayakumar N. Pai.

After the award ceremony, culture programmes performed by the TDLP School children under the guidance of Konkani teacher Saraswati S Prabhu.

Vice President of Konkani Bhasha Prachar Sabha  P. Suresh Pai gave Vote of Thank.

There was also an exhibition of Konkani books.
