Mangalore: The course inauguration of the 19th Batch of B.Sc.(N), was held on 07th October 2022 at 10am in the Athena College Auditorium. The Programme commenced with the prayer dance led by 2nd year B.Sc. (N) students.
Sr. Aileen Mathias Vice Principal of Athena College of Nursing welcomed the gathering which was followed by lamp lighting that marked the inauguration of the course.
Sr. Deepa Peter, Principal Athena college of nursing briefed about the course and she focused on quality education and overall development of the students. The faculty of Athena College of Nursing were introduced to the freshers followed by students introduction.
In the presidential address R.S Shettian, Chairman Athena institute of health sciences welcomed all freshers to the institution and congratulated them for selecting the college. He assured management support in all the curricular and extra curricular activities. Nancy D’Silva Lecturer I year B.Sc (N) co-ordinator was present in the dias. Nishel Barboza, Associate Professor, HOD of Medical Surgical Department proposed the vote of thanks. The Programme came to the end with the short cultural programme. The whole programme was compered by Priyanka D’Souza Lecturer of Child Health Nursing.
