Mangalore: The course inauguration of 62nd batch of General Nursing and Midwifery was held at Fr Muller’s Hospital Decennial Memorial Hall. The inauguration began with prayer song by 2nd year GNM students.
Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal, Father Muller School of Nursing welcomed the gathering. The chief guest Dr Leena Sequeira, Principal Manipal School of Nursing, Manipal and Rev. Fr Richard A. Coelho, the Director FMCI presided over the program. Chief Guest lit the lamp in a traditional way by marking the symbol of inauguration of 62nd batch of GNM.The chief guest was introduced to the gathering by Caroline Smitha, asst.Lecturer of Father Muller School Of Nursing.
The chief guest said “Nurses are the back bone of health care and they make the difference by learning the aspects thoroughly”. She also applauded that, fresher’s need to develop Critical thinking and scientific reasoning and decision making with their practical experience.
Rev. Fr Richard A Coelho, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, said “nurses are the heart beat of the health care, that students should have discipline, dedication and devotion towards their goals.
Nathalia D’Cunha, the class co-ordinator of 1st year GNM proposed the vote of thanks. Stacy Mavin Pinto, asst. Lecturer, Father Muller School of Nursing compered the program.
