Mangalore, 8 October, 2022: Inchara Foundation, an NGO for the prevention of child sexual abuse, inaugurated its latest project, the mental health initiative on 8 October, 2022, at the School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya auditorium. Yogish Malligemaadu, Project Manager of Inchara Foundation welcomed the gathering.
The project was inaugurated by the DC of Dakshina Kannada district, Dr Rajendra KV, IAS. Dr Rameela Shekhar, Mental Health Professional was the chief guest, who, through a module release, inaugurated the awareness programs which will be conducted in the schools of Mangalore. Dr Kishore Kumar, District Health and Family Welfare Officer, inaugurated the counselling helpline. The DC in his inaugural address spoke on the need for mental health services due to the ever rising cases especially in the district and congratulated Inchara for its new initiative.
The stage program was concluded by a vote of thanks by Sumana, Program Co-ordinator at Inchara Foundation. The whole program was compered by Pratheeksha, volunteer at Inchara Foundation. The stage program was followed by a cultural program.
