Mangalore: Youth Commission, Mangalore Diocese in collaboration with white doves organised YOUTH MARCH FOR CHRIST under the theme "Christ our life and light" The youth of Mangalore Diocese gathered at Milagrees church. suraj norohna President YCS Mangalore Diocese welcomed the gathering. Suraj norohna, Bondel and team led the praise and worship . Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore insensed the Holy bible. President Aicuf State took the bible in procession. The procession started from Milagres church to Nehru Maidan with many tablaue depicting the nature, holy family , mother Theresa, service to society acts, Public awareness tablaue, etc. A huge cross was carried by the youth in the procession. Bible was carried in procession by Most Rev Dr Fr. Peter Paul Saldanha.
The youth carried the plug cards, saint flags and marched to Nehru Maidan by singing hymns.
Bible was placed in the Alter setup at nehru Maidan by the youth leaders. Bishop honored the bible by placing a Garland on it.
Fr.Clifford Fernandes, Parish priest, Jeppu deliverd the reflection on the theme. Fr Cyril Lobo from bondel parish led the praise and worship along with brother Ronald Ammembal. bishop led the prayer of consecration and delivered his message to the youth .
Jesvita princy Quadros was felicitated for being appointed as the member of the international youth advisory body by Vatican.
