Srinagar, April 23: Parents who happily married their children and sent them on their honeymoon are in tears. Terrorists removed the saffron of a woman before applying mehndi. The woman, who had come with her husband for honeymoon, is now leaving alone.

Indian Navy officer Vinay Narwal lost his life in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. He had been married for only 7 days. Vinay, who had come with his wife for honeymoon, was killed in the terrorist attack.
Indian Navy officer Vinay Narwal, who was posted in Kochi, was on leave. He got married on April 16. IB Section Officer Manish Ranjan, who was posted in Hyderabad, was also killed in the terrorist attack.
Vinay Narwal is originally from Bhusli village in Karnal district. His family lives in Sector-7. After completing his B.Tech, he joined the Indian Navy. He joined the Navy as a Lieutenant 3 years ago. He was posted in Kochi. Vinay's father is posted as a Superintendent in the Customs Department, Panipat. His grandfather Hawa Singh was in the Haryana Police.
A video has also surfaced in which Vinay's wife Himanshi is heard crying, while eating Belpuri with her husband when a man came and shot him saying that he was not a Muslim.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has arrived in Srinagar to review the security situation in Kashmir after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Shah reached Srinagar a few hours after the attack on tourists and went straight to the Raj Bhavan from the airport.
Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat briefed the Home Minister about the incident when he arrived at the spot. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan and Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka were present on the occasion.
Terrorists opened fire on a popular ground in Kashmir's Pahalgam town on Tuesday afternoon, killing 26 people. The attack is being described as the deadliest in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama attack. The deceased included two foreigners and two locals.
Armed militants entered the pasture known as “Mini Switzerland” and opened fire on tourists who were enjoying the surroundings by visiting restaurants, riding horses and having picnics. The Resistance Front of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, based in Pakistan, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
