Mangaluru, May 21: Due to the pre-monsoon rains lashing Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts for the past two days, normal life has been disrupted. Apart from a few minor inconveniences reported here and there, no major disasters have been recorded so far.
"A survey has already been conducted in the rain-affected areas, and discussions have been held with the Deputy Commissioners of both districts to manage the situation. I am in constant contact regarding this." said Manjunath Bhandari MLC and KPCC Working President.
He added "Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district is having heavy rain fall from past days. In this regard he also said "I have directed that the disaster management forces be kept in a state of readiness to prevent any major damage or danger caused by rain and wind in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. I have also spoken with the Honorable Chief Minister and ministers to draw attention to the issues caused by the rain in the district."
