Mangalore, Nov 05: Monthu Lobo resident of Valencia, awarded as Sarthi no. 1 passes away today 5 November 2022 due to illness He was 86year old and known for his selfless service and social work.
He was awarded as Sarathi no. 1 by Indian Vehicles Drivers Trade Union in 2012.
Lobo served as auto driver more than half a century and not even a single police case or accident case faced. This unique achievement was recognized and felicitated by RTO and district administration in 2008. He received his driving license in 1957. He was one of the first auto driver to get his license in the city.
