Mangaluru: On April 13, 2025, the faithful of Milagres Church in Hampankatta, Mangaluru, gathered to commemorate Palm Sunday, marking the beginning of Holy Week. The celebration commenced with a solemn procession, where parishioners carried palm fronds, symbolizing Jesus Christ's triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
The main celebrant for the Holy Eucharist was Fr. Michael Santhumayor, Principal of Milagres Degree College. He was joined by Fr. Joseph Udaya Fernandes, Principal of Milagres Central School, and Fr. Robin Joyson Santhumayer, Assistant Parish Priest.
The liturgy was enriched with hymns and readings, and the church was adorned with floral arrangements, creating a reverent atmosphere. Following the Mass, the faithful exchanged greetings and shared in the spirit of the season.
