Mangalore: Priority Private Evening Clinics at Father Muller Priority Private Clinics was inaugurated on 16 August 2022 at the Father Muller Medical College Hospital. There have been many enquiries by people who prefer to come Father Muller Medical College Hospital after their working hours. The hassle of commuting and parking in the city, and with the added burden of running around for laboratory or radiological tests, were the main reasons placed by those who enquired. Thus the management under consideration from a long time decided to start with priority private clinics at the hospital where doctors can see their patients after the hospital OPD hours between 5 – 7pm on the weekdays.
Father Muller have begun the evening clinics because of the genuine needs of patients and also to support the doctors who find it convenient to work the evening clinics. Moreover, the ease of appointment system and fast tracking of registrations would help those who seek priority care a smooth and convenient care said Dr Kishan Shetty, Paediatric Surgeon and Deputy Medical Superintendent FMMCH.
The inaugural of the evening clinic began a prayer and the lighting of the Lamp by the Director FMCI Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho who was pleased to see the doctors taking initiatives in running the evening clinic. He prayed that the people who come for their wellness may get benefitted by this clinic and that they find it a convenient place for all theirhealth needs. This initiative taken was part of the 75 th Independence Day to cater for all peoples to attain health. Fr Ajith Menezes, Administrator FMMC felt it was the right time to set up the evening clinics and sought the doctors assistance to make every person who visits the clinic gleeful. Fr Jeevan Sequeira and Fr Nelson Pais, Assistant Administrators of FMMCH who were instrumental in setting up the clinic conveyed their best wishes to the doctors
The evening clinics are situated in the First Floor of the OPD building in the Medicine and OBG OPD’s. The appointment can be taken with the particular doctor between 9am- 4pm on 8277039528 / 0824 2238341, thus the doctors would be intimated about the visit. The doctors schedule will be as follows:
The doctors will be examining and treating patients as in their own private clinics and can use the hospital’s 24*7 laboratory, radiology, pharmacy and casualty facilities for the patient’s benefits. More doctors will be added as the clinic grows and more facilities will be added.
The inaugural witnessed the presence of members of the management committee, Doctor’s of the evening clinic and the staff. Dr Nandakishore thanked all gathered and the event was coordinated by Dr Kelvin Pais.
