Puttur: “Corruption is not just prevalent in every corner but also deeply rooted in the human mind. The true development of any nation can only be achieved if students cultivate thoughts and actions marked by diligence, loyalty, and integrity,” remarked Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Principal of St Philomena Autonomous College, during the inauguration of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ organized by the NSS Units of the college at the Spandana seminar hall today.

Presiding over the event, Dr Monteiro highlighted the decisive role that youth play in shaping the future of the nation and urged students to adopt a resolute stand against corruption in all its forms. To make the event impactful, he led the gathering in the Anti-Corruption Pledge.

NSS Officer Dr Chandrasekhara K. extended a warm welcome to the gathering and delivered the introductory remarks raising awareness about corruption. The program was also graced by NSS Officer Pushpa N., and Public Relations Officer of the College, Bharathi S. Rai.

The proceedings began with a prayer by Poornashree and her team. The program concluded with vote of thanks by Vishnujith. NSS unit leader Kevin compered the program.
