Bengaluru: Red Alert has been announced in the wake of heavy rains in the state and coastal areas.
Southwest monsoon winds have been so strong that it has been raining heavily for the past two days. Similarly in many districts of the state, torrential rains have been received, and a red alert has been announced for the districts of malenadu and coastal areas.
Red alert has been announced for Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Hassan, Chikmagalur, Kodagu and Shivamogga districts. It is said that over the next few days there will be heavy rainfall in the range of these districts. The meteorological department has warned the districts to take necessary precautions.
