Rev. Fr. Pius James Dsouza elected as Provincial Superior of Karnataka-Goa Province

Rev. Fr. Pius James Dsouza Carmelite priest from Agrar (now Farla) Parish. He was earlier hired as First Councilor in charge of Vocation promotion, Spirituality and community life.

Now, Fr. Pius James Dsouza has been elelcted as Provincial superior of the Discalced Carmelite Order Karnataka- Goa Province.

He has completed his Ph.D. in Rome. On 15 December 2009, Fr. Pius defended his doctoral thesis, an exegetical work in Biblical theology, in the Pontifical Gregorian University. He has completed his masters in Philosophy from Karnataka University Dharwad.

In 2012 The Bishop of Mangalore, Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza had appointed Fr. Pius James D’Souza OCD as the new Episcopal Vicar for the Religious in the Diocese of Mangalore.
