Mangalore: In a major step toward nurturing local talent in the growing niche of baby photography, Tiro Kiddography, Mangalore’s first exclusive newborn and kids photography studio, successfully conducted its first-ever Newborn Photography Workshop on 2025 June 01.
The workshop was a full-day intensive session, specially curated for photographers with prior experience, looking to transition into the specialized field of newborn photography.
The workshop, held at Tiro Kiddography’s 1200 sq. ft luxury studio space, was mentored by the co-founders Tini Dcosta and Rochelle Goveas, both seasoned professionals in the field.
With only five exclusive seats, the session ensured personalized attention and hands-on learning for each participant. A 10-day-old newborn baby model was part of the session, offering attendees the rare chance to learn real-time safe posing, gentle baby handling, lighting setups, and soothing techniques — all under expert supervision.
The curriculum spanned key areas such as:
• Baby safety, hygiene, and comfort
• Studio lighting and ideal camera settings
• Posing, wrapping, and prop styling
• Business strategies, pricing models, and client communication
• Post-processing workflow and editing techniques
• Industry best practices and legal standards
Participants received completion certificates and hands-on experience, making it a career- transforming event for many.
